kill kokeš kill
this hybrid short film tells the story of a shy barber named kotlach, who encounters a mysterious dwarf called kokeš. the dwarf offers him the services of a personal hitman, setting off a carousel of dark humor and moral dilemmas in a surreal world. the project sensitively follows czechoslovak literary and cinematic traditions, blending live-action scenes with distinct animated sequences.
our studio participated in the key stages of creating the film’s animated components. we managed the complete animation of selected parts of the film and the preparation of assets for 2d cut-out animation. the specific artistic style of the animated sections flows seamlessly with the live-action footage, providing the necessary visual dynamics. through digital cut-out animation technology, we were able to bring characters and environments to life in a way that enhances the story’s absurd atmosphere.
