Let’s take the train

We created a time-lapse animated video for ZSSK Slovak rail based on the real schedule of train operation in Slovak republic. The animation shows 24 hours of train movement squeezed into 1 minute showing all the trains that are driving at a precise hour.

We created the visual concept of the video, a 3D map of Slovak republic with most of the railways preserving their realistic position and path. Part of the job here was also to prepare “the script” – in this case it meant to translate the real time schedule of the trains into our squeezed timeline to be able to keep the video as realistic as possible. Considering the technology, it is a combination of 3D and 2D animation. 3D animation creates the base while 2D helps us with adding some additional information.

Vision 2030

“Vision 2030” is an animated online video that we created for our client ZSSK. The aim of this video is to show a vision of the future and changes that could contribute to sustainable mobility, to increasing the quality of life, to higher security, to better traffic flow and more ecological transport. It was important to show the way how to achieve this vision during the following years.

For this project, we created a complex solution starting with the script made together with the client, going through the visual concept and art direction to the final production. It is a combination of 3D animation and 2D infographics. The video is situated into two different worlds – first, realistic shows a train driving through Slovak nature and cities. The other is technical and monochromatic and takes the viewer into the future full of innovations.

the animated commercial “even a drop of oil counts” for the client slovnaft explains what to do with used kitchen oil. it’s an animated video primarily aimed at children, so it’s narrated through a young boy who helps his mom in the kitchen.

 

the animated online video is created using 2d cut-out animation combined with hand-drawn animation. the artistic concept was also crafted in the style of hand-drawn animation. characters in the video include not only people but also drops of oil or pieces of vegetables in the pan, to which we’ve attributed human traits. the main online video is 50 seconds long, and along with it, we’ve created a short infographic video showing locations where used kitchen oil is collected.

We worked on 2 wine bottle labels for The Free Winery.

The first collaboration were the labels for the special edition of wines Pinot Cutis from six Slovak animators in 2013. The wines were sold in the auction organised to support the reconstruction of the New Synagogue in Zilina. That was the first time we used the label with the rooster made as a digital linocut.


In 2019, we continued with the same design, but we moved it a little bit further, since the original wine was not for sale anymore. By making some changes, the label was transformed and is now being used on a rosé wine Rebela Rosa.

The story is about Siamese twins who fight each other inside but also outside the boxing ring. Because of their disability, they have to share both professional and private lives, but each one of them sees things from a different perspective. Twins is an animated film about brotherly love and its limits.
