Healthy titbit
Healthy titbit
“Healthy titbit with Kika” is a TV show being hosted by Kika Kocian who is cooking simple and healthy food and besides the recipes, she’s also talking about the food itself, its characteristics and influence on the human body.
For this show we created the whole visual identity and fortunately, we had a big freedom in doing that. We based our work on the discussions with the host and author of the show, on her thoughts, on the things that she likes and the moodboards that she put together. The main part of the whole identity was the opening credits. Its visual concept was then used to create different other elements for the show that are being used during editing, such as inserts, bars, strips and others. The whole concept is hand drawn and it’s based on the particular food and typical dotted red dishes that are being used hugely in the show. The videos are made as a combination of cut-out and hand-drawn 2D animation.

365.Spotify
365.Spotify
Together with our client 365.bank we created an animated online video for Spotify. Since 365.bank already has their own visual and way of communication set up, this project is not stepping out of it, it works with well-known characters, visual elements and typical color palette. The target group of this project are young people used to “live” in an online space and the visual style and the dynamics of the animation are adjusted to them.
For this particular cooperation, we got a ready storyboard from the client. It was necessary to create all the assets for the animation and together with the sound studio we then recorded the voiceover and music. Taking into consideration the trends in online communication, we wanted the video to work also without the sound so we placed key words from the voiceover directly to the video. Since Spotify is being used on different platforms, we created the video both in horizontal and vertical versions.

Theatre ZáBaVKa
Theatre ZáBaVKa
Theatre ZaBaVKa who specializes in the kids’ content asked us to work together on three music videos for them. They created songs for the youngest audience and we were looking for the right visual concept together. Each of the songs has its own story, but they are connected by the same animal characters and by the same world that was created based on the plays of Theatre ZaBaVKa.
The first step was to find the visual concept and animation technology which we did together. The aim was to find a solution, that will be attractive for the youngest kids and that won’t be too complicated to be able to use it for a bigger amount of work. We created the visual of the environments and the animals and we animated them as a 2D cut-out animation. The visual concept that we used for the music-videos was later used also for the CD cover and other online and print materials (banners, roll-ups, social media pictures, etc.)

2D animated video for the client 365.bank is explaining the setting up of the bank account step by step and it’s showing the whole process in detail. While the bank account can be set up only via mobile app, the aim of this video is to help the clients to better understand what will be necessary in the process and to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
Animated video is made directly with the assets from the mobile application of the bank, so the whole visual concept works with the visual of the app and also with the communication of the bank globally. It is a great example of a simple explainer video, which in some cases can really simply and clearly inform the clients about a product or a process. One of the requests of our client was to create the video with no voiceover, so all the necessary information is passed to the viewer either by the application environment itself or by significant subtitles right in the video.

Virtual patient
Virtual patient
Animated video from the medical environment with the obstetrics theme. It’s a collaboration with Mgr.Bc. Eva Urabanova, PhD. from the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin. It’s part of the educational system, that the faculty uses for teaching of the future doctors. The video shows a situation from the maternity hospital when a pregnant patient gets an eclamptic seizure. The birth attendant has to decide what to do in a specific situations and the students are supposed to judge if the chosen procedure was right or wrong.
During the production of this animated project, the client gave us quite a big freedom in the visual concept creation. The most important thing was to work with the real processes and the right image of the medical instruments. But their visual handling was not limited by the client. The video is based on the comic books principles and art design, the animation is simple and minimalistic. As the aim of the project was to create the video without a voiceover, all the talking between the patient and the birth attendants is done using the comic book bubbles.

Fairy selection
Fairy selection
We created a short animation for a TV commercial “Fairy selection”, in which two small boys dream about an unbelievable world full of huge fruit, vegetables and cakes to jump on. In the beginning, we meet the boys in the real world and from there we smoothly go to the fantastic animated world.
The animated part is more or less one third of the whole spot. It’s created as a 2D cut-out animation. Since this belongs to the series of 3 videos, the visual concept was created together with the director so that it fits into the concept of the whole series. It’s based on the child’s drawing because the transition from the real world is made through one of the main characters’ sketchbooks. The visual concept of the boys is based on the actors and the animated world is surreal and based on abstract elements.

Let’s read together
Let’s read together
A short animated video for a bookstore chain Panta Rhei. The original task was to simply animate the logo, which has the shape of an infinity sign. We tried to take this task and push it a little bit further taking into account the idea behind which was “Let’s read together” and which the client wanted to get to the video.
We suggested creating 3 different situations in which people are usually reading together. Then we took them and transformed them to our 2D hand-drawn animation. To achieve simplicity and formal purity the situations were put into a smaller space in the middle of the screen where all the attention of the viewer goes. Our task in the end was to create the complex solution – starting with the script, going through the visual concept, ending with the animation.
